Daisy Leigh-Phippard

BIO
During my time as a student of Film Production at the Bournemouth Film School (Arts University Bournemouth), I wqas involved in over 16 short films in a range of roles. In my final years I specialised in Directing and Producing and graduated with a first-class honours degree. I have since worked as a location marshall on James Bond, a script supervisor keeping track of the continuity of a dog and a child, and interning with some of the leading producers in the UK.
I am a storyteller fascinated by independent cinema, fairy tales and the female gaze. My narratives explore individuals searching for agency amidst landscapes that limit them, whether in realistic or fantastical worlds. My style is inspired by the works of Jane Campion, Andrea Arnold, Hayao Miyazaki and Park Chan-Wook.

I also work as a freelance film journalist, with work published by Screen Queens, Film Daze, The Quietus, Akin, and the Bournemouth Film School on Medium. I have had the pleasure of interviewing various filmmakers including Edgar Wright, Michael Pearce, Elizabeth Karlsen, Nour Wazzi and Nick Rowland.
